EMBO Payroll Procedure

Payments

EMBO has no set date for their remittance, however, we will always try to remit before the end of the month. Be advised that due to the number of transactions, the bank also need their time. Estimated time needed is approx 2 – 3 working days depending on the location of the receiving bank. The payment dates are on our main page!

Bank charges:

We know that some banks deduct a small fee from the refund. Although EMBO has instructed the bank that all cost are born by them, this is not applicable for banks in Asia and/or when an intermediary bank is used.

Example:

EMBO bank -> Intermediary/Correspondent bank -> Beneficiary bank

100             ->  100                                           -> 90

So you see in the above example that the Intermediary bank deducts 10$ in fee.  We do realize that this can be a big issue for some recipients, and unfortunately EMBO will not refund those charges. We can only suggest that you speak to your bank to see if these charges can be waved or if another correspondent bank can be found in order to avoid or lower said cost.

 Updating or re-newing bank details.

In case you would like to change your banking information you may submit new bank details online via the following link: https://mycompandben.slb.com/ISBankDetails/ Or send directly via ISPayroll in Dubai. Make sure you do this before the salary cut off date. Be advised that EMBO can not update the info, all our info will be automatically updated when we receive the month end reporting from ISPayroll.

Compliance

As we are remitting the funds from a US bank, it is very well possible that your payment is delayed due to compliance reasons. This means that the sending  or intermediary bank is requesting additional information about the remittance.

This information can consist of:

Name, place and date of birth, resident address, location, reason for payment.  Bank branch location and address and wether or not the payment has anything to do with embargo countries like Sudan, Crimea, Cuba, Myanmar etc etc.

Usually EMBO will supply the info the following working day, (that is if we have it) but we have no influence on the bank as to the time they need to release the funds.
